Finding Rest in a Busy Day

My favorite way to get rest is to curl up in my ๐Ÿ›‹ recliner with a ☕️ homemade caramel macchiato , my ๐Ÿถ yorkie and a good devotional or the ๐Ÿ“– Bible. To me, hot ☕️ coffee means I have to sit down and take about 20-30 minutes to enjoy. It’s a forced rest time for me that I desperately need every single day. Part of my unwinding includes reading God’s word. His word lights my path and gives me the wisdom and hope I need.  • Mark 6:31-32 says, “Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and ๐Ÿ› rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many ๐Ÿ˜ people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to ๐Ÿฅ– eat. So they left by ๐Ÿ›ถ boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone.” • Following Jesus’ example and resting in a ๐Ÿคซ quiet place just makes sense.
