A BIIIIIIG LOVE

I originally hadn't planned on sharing this but I feel like it needs to be heard before I can write my post on the sermon from Sunday.

To understand how to pour out God's love on people, you have to first understand how much you are loved. It's such a huge topic that covers so many things but you need to know the immensity of it so you can understand the source of the love that you're supposed to pour out in my next post.

God made you on purpose. You might not have been planned or wanted, or maybe you were desperately longed for, but no matter the circumstance, you were not an accident or a lucky incident. The timing, the parents, and your life was on purpose. He made you because he wanted you. He made you because he needs you to help him fulfill his purpose on Earth. He knew you before you were born and had plans for you since the beginning. If you've ever hoped for children, you can only grasp the very tip of the longing God has for you and your life specifically.

Because of his longing and love for you, you are perfect in his eyes. No matter what you do, what you did, what you're thinking about doing, you can't run away from the desire he has for you. He will ALWAYS be there waiting for you with open arms and joy in his eyes. His love for you is so immense that we can't even begin to imagine the depths of it. Our minds are too small to grasp it; I'm afraid if he showed us how much he loves us that our brains would explode ;)

Once you recognize and say yes to his love, it becomes a life force within you. It becomes something you can no longer control and it will flow out of you. It's not something you can contain or stifle; his love living inside you is like a caged animal begging to get out. Love will pour out of you in the form of kindness, forgiveness, gentleness, encouragement and truth. Please ask God to reveal a piece of his love for you and just watch how your life will change.

Reforming Undesirable Behavior

You know that thing you do that you don't wanna do but you keep doing it because you can't stop doing it? These behaviors might include: lying, cheating, raging, gossiping, pornography, drinking, drugs, eating, throwing up, etc. Reforming these behaviors on your own can prove to be a little tricky. I'd say reforming undesirable behavior might even be impossible on your own. But there is still hope for us. With the love of God, the power of the Holy Spirit and a renewed mind, you can reform your behavior. Youth conference with lots of God encounters! An encounter with God is the easiest way to reform undesirable behavior because the encounter will fill you with the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord renews our minds in a way that informs our bodies of what's beneficial to our spiritual health in the eyes of God. So, your mouth doesn't want to lie anymore; your tongue won't allow you to eat certain things; your eyes will be opened to the evil of pornogra...

Don't Pick Up Hitch Hikers...

My husband's passion for hearing God and sharing his words is inspiring. The knowledge God gives him to articulate to his people is astounding. It amazes me that my husband holds these spiritual words within him and nearly bursts with excitement on Sunday trying to get it all out to a physical world. Which brings up Joshua 23. This chapter is Joshua's final charge to the leaders and future generations. What is a charge? It's kind of like issuing a challenge and a warning all at the same time. At weddings, the minister charges the couple with the responsibility associated with marriage...in Joshua, he is charging the leaders to beware of the physical world around them. They've driven out the big tribes from the Promised Land but a few stragglers still remain and Joshua warns the leaders to avoid any entanglements with them. Temptation is sure to be present among these stragglers and they would be wise to remember all God has done for them. He said: 6 “Be very strong;...

Tips for Teachers for a Better Work Environment

Sun kissed and fully rested, teachers walk into the school building for in-service and the start of school full of zen and good vibes. Now let me ask how long you think all those good vibes are going to last? Come on...we all know that teachers are notorious for drama. gossip and COMPLAINING. BUT with Jesus fresh on the mind, you can steer clear of that this year. This year, let’s approach each situation with prayer first and action later. Here are my tips for a more pleasant work environment... Avoid Drama: STEP AWAY from the he said, she said game and mind your own business. If someone wants to talk to you about an offense towards someone else or takes competitiveness a little too far, emotionally back away. Change the subject or even say, “I’d rather not talk about that.” Old habits die hard so when you’re alerted to drama ask God to help you back away.  Proverbs 21:23 “Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.” Stop Gossiping: ...
